"I was on my way home from work in my Toyota Sienna with Indie in her G1™ Medium Kennel. We stopped at an intersection we drive through every day, and when I went to drive through, a car ran the red light and drove right out into the intersection, crashing into me head-on at 25-30 miles per hour. For a wreck, it was honestly the best-case scenario. I had no injuries other than an airbag burn on my arm. When I hopped out of the car to check on Indie, she was totally fine. She was a bit shaken up and nervous with all of the commotion, but she didn’t have any injuries. Her kennel was strapped down with the Tie-Down Strap Kit, so it didn’t budge an inch during the accident. Once I realized she was okay I put her back in the kennel so she’d be safe while I handled the wreckage and talked with the first responders. I couldn’t move my car from the center of the intersection, so I was grateful that I could keep her in the kennel. I know that if she wasn’t in the kennel while we were searching for my registration and looking over my car, she probably would have gotten scared and tried to bite someone. I’m always advocating for GUNNER. I couldn’t travel for work as often as I do without the kennel, and it’s become Indie’s safe space. If Indie hadn’t been in her kennel, I wouldn’t have been able to sleep at night knowing there was more I could have done to prevent an injury.
